Date Received (UTC): 2025-09-28 23:13:17 Sender: Jacob Wise
Group: ZTF
Jacob Wise (LJMU), Daniel Perley (LJMU), K-Ryan Hinds (Caltech), Aleksandra Bochenek (LJMU), Zoe McGrath (LJMU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025xhp
Type: SN IInRedshift: 0.0379
Remarks: Spectrum displays H-alpha and H-beta emission with an absense of [O III] superimposed on a blue continuum, cosistent with a SN IIn classification. Host redshift of z = 0.037900 ± 0.000150 from The 6dF Galaxy Survey Data Release 3. We note that the transient appears to display precursor activity at m ~ 21 between MJD 60901 and MJD 60919 in ZTF forced photometry.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-09-28 22:12:04
Instrument: SPRAT
Telescope: Liverpool Telescope
