Francois Campher report/s a classification of object: AT 2025xvc
Type: NovaRedshift: 0.00086959
Remarks: Classification Report for AT2025xvc Authors: Francois Campher (UCT/SAAO), Moses Mlangeni (UCT/SAAO), Lloyd Landsberg (UCT/SAAO), Simone Scaringi (Durham), Gavin Ramsay (Armagh) ,Erez Zimmerman (Weizmann), Paul Groot (Radboud/UCT/SAAO), Fiorenzo Stoppa (Oxford), Hugo Tranin (Barcelona) We obtained an optical spectrum of AT2025xvc on 2025-09-30 02:37:04 UTC using the 1.9-m telescope at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) equipped with the SpUpNIC spectrograph. The spectrum was taken with Grating 7 with a grating angle 16.00. The data was reduced using standard procedures, and the resulting spectrum was analysed with SNID-Sage to extract a redshift of z = 0.00086959, which is consistent with redshift measurements of the LMC.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
