Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.0981
Remarks: We observed SN2025yir on 10-19-2025 UT with the Kast spectrograph on the Shane telescope. We classify this transient as a SN Ia at +2 weeks from peak using SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). We measure the redshift from the host galaxy narrow Halpha line.
