Sylvia Beer report/s the discovery of a new astronomical transient.

IAU Designation: AT 2003mf
Coordinates (J2000): RA = 15:38:28.369 (234.618205267) DEC = +04:39:59.23 (4.666453411)
Discovery date: 2003-04-28 09:26:26.000 (JD=2452757.8933565)

Potential host galaxy: SDSS J153828.16+044000.9
Host redshift: 0.108992

Remarks: This transient was first observed by Sylvia Beer (username Bluemagi) on the Galaxy Zoo website here: The transient is categorised as a star in the SDSS database (SDSS J153828.36+043959.2), yet is not in the later surveys DECaLS and Pan-STARRS.

Discovery (first detection):
Discovery date: 2003-04-28 09:26:26.000
Flux: 18.5 ABMag
Filter: r-Sloan
Instrument: SDSS-Spec
Telescope: Sloan Digital Sky Survey

Remarks: The r-band Apparent magnitude was calculated by Richard Nowell using APT and reference star: SDSS J153826.52+044048.5 The r-band Absolute magnitude of -19.92 was also calculated.
