Jujia Zhang(YNAO), Xiaofeng Wang(THU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2015cz
Type: SN IIPRedshift: 0.0145
Remarks: The spectrum is similar to that of a type II supernova at a young phase, with prominent broad P-Cygni profiles of Balmer lines. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the comparison tool SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A,488, 383) shows that it matches with some type II-P supernovae at a few days after the explosion.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2015-10-03 17:31:12
Instrument: YFOSC
Telescope: Lijiang 2.4m telescope - Yunnan Obsvervatories
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2015cz
