Yen-Chen Pan report/s a classification of object: SN 2016Q
Type: SN IbnRedshift: 0.103
Remarks: A SN Ibn at redshift z=0.103. The spectrum has clear relatively narrow (FWHM = 950 km/s) He I 5876 emission on top of a broader base. No broad H beta emission is detected. We detect narrow H beta, but its width (FWHM = 300 km/s) is at the resolution of the spectrograph. Along with narrow [O II] and [O III] emission, the H beta is most likely galactic emission and unrelated to the SN.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2016-01-14 02:38:02
Instrument: Goodman
Telescope: Southern Astrophysical Research Telescope
