Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to the Type II SN 1999em about 1 week after explosion at redshifts consistent with that of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.014; HIPASS Catalog 2006 via NED).
