784 2017-02-09 22:36:52 Griffin Hosseinzadeh Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Iair Arcavi, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti LCOGT SN-KP SN Ia 0.05 1 LCOGT SN-KP Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several normal Type Ia supernovae ranging from 11 days before maximum light at redshift z=0.065 to 8 days after maximum light at redshift z=0.050. Given these redshifts, the supernova may be associated with the galaxy 2MASX J05002994+7113379, whose redshift is not known, rather than the closer PGC 2741481. If this is the case, it has an unusually large offset of at least ~113 kpc. Alternatively it could be associated with an undetected dwarf galaxy, or with one of two GALEX UV sources, if they are galaxies, at separations of at least ~36 or ~88 kpc. 2017TNSCR.172....1H
