Miho Kawabata report/s a classification of object: SN 2017ivu
Type: SN IIPRedshift: 0.0065
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2017-12-21 19:12:00
Instrument: HOWPol
Telescope: KANATA 1.5-m Optical and Near-Infrared telescope
Remarks: The spectrum shows a prominent P Cyg profile of H-alpha line, of which the absorption component has a line velocity of ~11,000 km/s, suggesting that this is type IIP supernova at a few weeks after the explosion.
