There was no minor planet at this location. The object is also visible on 6 images taken with the same equipment on 2018-06-02 and on 2018-06-03. Images available here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/econseil/41632971725/ This object is located very close to AT2017ixr, which exploded in December 2017 and could be another outburst of this nova.

Very faint at first but appears to be growing brighter. Imaged with 20cm reflector and QSI ccd camera. Previous M31 novae checked, minor planets checked, search of Cepheid variables done, all show no objects.

There seems to be a new outburst of this transient since the end of May

Atel#11162 confirms the object as a classical nova eruption and a member of the Fe II spectroscopic class.

On an image taken 2017 12 27.72662 the object is now clearly visible. Magnitude estimate with Astrometrica is R=17.1. Image is attached
