TNS Classification Report No. 2274 [ 2018TNSCR.988....1K ]
Date Received (UTC): 2018-07-15 08:39:20 Sender: Jose Prieto
Group: ASAS-SN
L. Khlat (ENS-Lyon), J. L. Prieto (UDP), S. Dong (KIAA-PKU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2018cxe
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.043811
Remarks: We obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of supernovae candidates on UT 2018 July 15 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of SN2018cxe is that of a Type Ia-norm after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) gives a best fit age of +9.6 days after maximum light and z=0.043 as the redshift, consistent with the host galaxy redshift.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2018-07-15 04:20:09
Instrument: WFCCD
Telescope: Las Campanas Observatory du Pont telescope
