Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Iair Arcavi, Daichi Hiramatsu, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti report/s a classification of object: AT 2019abn

Type: ILRT
Redshift: 0.001544

Remarks: The object is not seen in archival SDSS images and the spectrum displays a red continuum with hydrogen emission at the redshift of M51, its host (z = 0.001544; NED). Photometry from LCO shows that the object has an i-band absolute magnitude of about -13 (m_i = 16.4). Because of the absolute magnitude and spectral shape, we classify the object as an intermediate luminosity red transient (ILRT).
