Daniel Perley (LJMU), Jesper Sollerman (Stockholm), Christoffer Fremling (Caltech), Avishay Gal-Yam (Weizmann) on behalf of the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019cec
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.02597
Remarks: Redshift from host galaxy, NGC 5278/5279.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2019-03-25 09:14:07
Instrument: SEDM
Telescope: Palomar 1.5m
Remarks: SNID provides a good match between the spectrum and the type IIP supernova SN 2004et at a redshift consistent with that of the host galaxy, three days before maximum light.
