Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig PellegrinoGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.0527Global SN ProjectWe find best fits to SNe Ia around maximum light. The supernova is closest to MRK 1455 (z = 0.0527, 1983Afz....19..221M; value from NED). This redshift is consistent with narrow host galaxy lines present in the spectrum. Adopting this redshift we measure a Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 9000 km/s. Adopting the distance modulus computed from this redshift (36.8), the r-band absolute magnitude of the object roughly coeval with the spectrum is -18.8 (apparent magnitude 18.0, from ZTF). This absolute magnitude and velocity is consistent with a SN Ia near maximum light.2020TNSCR3963....1B
