Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.206
Remarks: An optical spectrum of SN 2020sjp, obtained on UT 2020 August 27 with the Gemini-N Telescope, equipped with GMOS-N and the B600 grating, resembles those of Type Ia supernovae a few days after B-band maximum. SNID provides good matches with several normal and 91T-like Type Ia supernovae between peak and +1 week. The reported redshift has been determined from cross-correlating our spectrum of the host galaxy with spectral templates of early-type galaxies from SDSS.
