78852020-11-05 00:36:17jburkeJamison Burke, Iair Arcavi, Daichi Hiramatsu, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig PellegrinoGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.08Global SN ProjectUsing Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia near maximum light, including SN 2003ic 4 days before peak. The supernova is closest to WISEA J000215.11-232942.2, and we measure a redshift of approximately 0.08 based on narrow host galaxy lines present in the spectrum. Adopting this redshift we measure a Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 10,000 km/s. Adopting the distance modulus computed from this redshift (37.8), the g-band absolute magnitude of the object roughly coeval with the spectrum is -19.5 (apparent magnitude 18.3, from ZTF). This absolute magnitude is consistent with an SN Ia near maximum light. 2020TNSCR3361....1B
