Date Received (UTC): 2021-04-16 11:18:57 Sender: Dr. Charlotte Angus
Group: YSE
C. Angus, C. Rojas-Bravo, L. DeMarchi, W. Jacobson-Galan report/s a classification of object: SN 2021jtt
Type: SNRedshift: 0.0234
Remarks: Spectrum taken with ALFOSC/NOT in gr4 on 15/04/2021. Signatures of flash ionisation are seen within the spectrum (a blue continuum with a blended He II/N III feature and C IV emission). The narrow Balmer lines within the spectrum are consistent with the host galaxy. SN2021jtt rose 2.3 magnitudes over 3 days from last non-detection, suggesting that the transient was < 3 days from explosion at the time of observation.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2021-04-15 00:00:00
Instrument: ALFOSC
Telescope: Nordic Optical Telescope
