10037 2021-07-09 00:14:15 Megan Newsome Megan Newsome, Daichi Hiramatsu, Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig Pellegrino Global SN Project SN Ia 0.006 1 Global SN Project Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia at early phases. There are good fits to SN 1999ee, SN 2003du, and SN 2005cf all at least a week before maximum. The supernova is closest to IC 3095, which has a redshift of z = 6.6e-5 from NED ( 2016SDSSD.C...0000), but SNID identifies a likely redshift of z = 0.006 which is very similar to the redshifts of the well-matched SNe. Adopting the lower redshift from NEDwe measure a Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 10,000 km/s, and adopting the higher redshift from SNID we measure the Si II 6355 velocity to be approximately 12,000 km/s. Adopting a distance modulus of 32.0 computed from z = 0.006, the g-band absolute magnitude of the object roughly coeval with the spectrum is inferred to be -15.0 (apparent magnitude 17.1, from LCOGT), although uncertain due to the redshift ambiguity. This absolute magnitude and velocity is consistent with an SN Ia pre-peak. 2021TNSCR2381....1N
