Blondin (CNRS, LAM) adH0cc SN Ia 0.143 1 adH0cc A spectrum of SN 2021szr, obtained on the night of 2021 July 14 with the ESO Very Large Telescope UT1, equipped with the FORS2 spectrograph and grism 300V, shows it to be a Type Ia supernova a few days prior to B-band maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007; 2007ApJ...666.1024B) finds good matches with SN 2004eo at -6 days and SN 2005bc at -5 days, consistent with the age of the SN estimated from Pan-STARRS photometry. The redshift of z = 0.143 has been determined from narrow host-galaxy emission lines. 2021TNSCR2456....1T
