Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Craig Pellegrino, Megan Newsome, Giacomo Terreran Global SN Project SN Ia 0.0176 1 Global SN Project Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia before maximum light, including SN Ia-norm 2005bc at minus five days before maximum . The supernova is closest to NGC 7110 (z =0.017, 2004SDSS2.C...0000:, value from NED) with Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 12,000 km/s. Adopting the luminosity distance computed from this redshift (74.2. Mpc ) ; the orange-ATLAS -band absolute magnitude of the object is -16.5(apparent magnitude 17.8 from ZTF), but it rose up to -18.8 abs mag . This absolute magnitude and velocity is consistent with an SN Ia near maximum light. 2023TNSCR1017....1G
