JADES JADES 12:36:12.792 +62:12:59.59 2023-02-06 00:00:00.000 26.13 F150W-JWST PSN MODS wide 1776 jades-gn-2023g JADES We report the detection of a transient in the GOODS-N field, observed by JWST NIRCam on February 6th, 2023. The candidate does not appear in the GOODS-N HST mosaic images (v2.5) distributed by the Hubble Legacy Fields (HLF) project (https://archive.stsci.edu/prepds/hlf), confirming its transient nature. The transient lies at RA 12:36:12.792, DEC +62:12:59.59, and its host galaxy is MODS wide 1776 (z_spec = 1.67514), as reported in SIMBAD. We performed aperture photometry on the transient and measured the following AB magnitudes: F090W = 26.28 ± 0.04, F115W = 26.10 ± 0.03, F150W = 26.13 ± 0.04, F200W = 26.07 ± 0.04, F277W = 26.47 ± 0.03, F356W = 26.76 ± 0.03, F410M = 27.03 ± 0.08, and F444W = 27.14 ± 0.06. Model fitting with the open source SNCosmo package attributed a 100% likelihood of a type II supernova (best-fit model is snana-2006iw). 2023TNSTR1332....1D N
