JADES JADES 12:36:10.166 +62:14:49.35 2023-04-05 00:00:00.000 25.89 F150W-JWST PSN S-CANDELS J123610.11+621449.2 jades-gn-2023h JADES We report the detection of a transient in the GOODS-N field, observed by JWST NIRCam on April 5th, 2023. The candidate does not appear in the GOODS-N HST mosaic images (v2.5) distributed by the Hubble Legacy Fields (HLF) project (https://archive.stsci.edu/prepds/hlf), confirming its transient nature. The transient lies at RA 12:36:10.166, DEC +62:14:49.35, and its host galaxy is in the same system as S-CANDELS J123610.11+621449.2 (z_spec = 2.325), as reported in the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED). Note that S-CANDELS J123610.11+621449.2 lies ~0.3'' away from the true host, but seeing-limited (0.6''-1.2'') ground-based spectroscopy quotes the redshift for the whole system. BAGPIPES (Carnall et al. 2018) SED modeling of only the true host using HST ACS/WFC3 photometry measures the host redshift as z_phot = 2.8. We performed aperture photometry on the transient and measured the following AB magnitudes: F090W = 26.55 ± 0.04, F115W = 26.20 ± 0.02, F150W = 25.89 ± 0.03, F200W = 25.66 ± 0.03, F277W = 26.17 ± 0.03, F356W = 26.34 ± 0.04, F410M = 26.31 ± 0.05, and F444W = 26.40 ± 0.06. Model fitting with the open source SNCosmo package attributed a 100% likelihood of a type II supernova (best-fit model is snana-2007lj). 2023TNSTR1332....1D N
