The nearest galaxy, WISEA J123845.19+123122.3, does not have a reported redshift. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) fits do not favor a match to any particular SN subtype. We also report that the host's small (~2" diameter from SDSS archival images) and faint (apparent g-band magnitude 20.42) appearance both limit the confirmation of whether the transient is central, thus a TDE explanation may also be possible.
