The reported redshift is adopted from the associated host galaxy NGC 7124. 2023TNSCR2495....1M

Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Giacomo Terreran Global SN Project SN Ia 0.017251 1 Global SN Project Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia before maximum light, including SN 2006lf 5 days after peak. The supernova is closest to NGC 7124 (z = 0.017251, 2006HIPAS.C...0000:, value from NED). Adopting this redshift we measure a Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 11,000 km/s. This velocity is consistent with an SN Ia prior to maximum light, and further follow-up is encouraged. 2023TNSCR2033....1N
