IAU Designation: AT 2023vnx
Discoverer internal name: jades-gs-3215b
Coordinates (J2000): RA = 03:32:22.751 (53.094795) DEC = -27:51:55.58 (-27.865438)
Discovery date: 2023-10-17 00:00:00.000 (JD=2460234.5)
Potential host galaxy: JADES-GS+53.09468-27.86517
Host redshift: 4.89
Remarks: Although the transient remains undetected in the F182M or F210M band, we confirm that the transient is detected in the F300M band (29.21 ± 0.05; photometric measurement possible because this transient is well-separated from its host). We also caution that the separation between the transient and the proposed host galaxy is large (0.9”), and therefore the potential association is tentative. Tentative host redshift is z_phot = 4.89 ± 0.07.
