Independent discovery of AT 2024afot

Independent discovery by Róbert Fidrich and Tamás Tordai on 2024. december 28.8364 UT, at 16.787CV magnitudes, using a 25cm Newtonian telescope in Budapest, Hungary. The transient reached 16.723CV brigthness on 2024. december 28.8410 UT. However the star was not visible on on 2024 december 29.1121 UT on 10x120s stacked images made remotely with a 0.28m RASA telescope of the iTelescope.net Network at Utah Desert Remote Observatory using color CCD detector, limiting magnitude was around 18.5. The star was also not visible on 2024 december 29.1618 UT on 4x120s stacked images made remotely with a 0.43m DHK telescope of the iTelescope.net Network at Utah Desert Remote Observatory using Luminance filter, limiting magnitude was around 19.0.
