Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.042

Remarks: Comparison of the NOT (+ALFOSC) spectrum of supernova (SN) 2015cwk with a library of template spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) suggests a reasonable match with SN 1979C at +13 days. Based on light curves obtained by POISE with the Swope telescope located at Las Campanas Observatory, at the time the spectrum of SN 2025cwk was obtained it was around two weeks past maximum.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2025-02-13 04:07:00
Instrument: ALFOSC
Telescope: Nordic Optical Telescope

Remarks: Low signal to noise spectrum obtained under poor weather conditions.
