Cross-correlation with SNID-Sage yields a best match with early-time spectra of the Type IIb supernova SN 2011fu near peak light. The overall spectral shape and profile matches are consistent with a young Type IIb supernova near maximum light. We therefore classify AT2026ved as a Type IIb supernova.

The data was reduced with Mookodi spectroscopic pipeline, and the resulting spectrum was analysed with SNID-Sage to extract a redshift of z = 0.01859, which is consistent with redshift measurements of the host galaxy ESO 119-G037.
