There are good fits to SN 1996L at very late phases. The supernova is closest to WISEA J113652.97+754239.5, and SNID finds a best-fit redshift of z = 0.04, well-matched by broad H-alpha lines. Assuming this redshift, the g-band absolute magnitude roughly coeval with the spectrum is approximately -17.6 (apparent magnitude 19).2021TNSCR4064....1N
