YSE Spectroscopic Classification of Transients with GMOS
Authors: Wynn Jacobson-Galán (UCB), Ryan Foley (UCSC), on behalf of the YSE collaboration
Abstract:
The Young Supernova Experiment (YSE) collaboration reports the classification of 3 optical transients using the Gemini GMOS-S: 1 type II, 1 type Ia, and one featureless transient.

The Young Supernova Experiment (YSE; Jones+ 2021) reports the following classifications of supernovae and nuclear transients. Observations were performed with Gemini Multi-Object Spectrographs (GMOS) at Gemini South Observatory through the YSE collaboration's Large and Long Gemini program (PI Jacobson-Galán). Observations were conducted on October 31. We are grateful to the Gemini observers who carried out these observations.

Spectral classifications were performed using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007 2007ApJ...666.1024B).
