Abstract:
We report a fast rising transient WFST251129euxe (AT 2025afih) discovered by the 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) through the Deep High-cadence ugr-band Survey.

WFST251129euxe (AT 2025afih) was detected by the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST; Wang, T., et al., 2023, SCPMA, 6609512) Deep High-cadence ugr-band Survey ("DHugr," Jiang, J.-a., et al. in prep) on November 29, 2025. WFST251129euxe was first detected on MJD: 61008.73 at g = 20.83 ± 0.05 mag. The host is a nearby galaxy at ~80Mpc (host spec-z = 0.018993 from SIMBAD). A 5-sigma g-band non-detection of ~22.7 mag on Nov 28 indicates that the brightness of WFST251129euxe was increased by > 3.7 mag in g-band in the past two days.

Given the fast brightening of the nearby transient, follow-up observations are highly encouraged.

This report is based on observations obtained with the 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) at Mt. Saishiteng, Lenghu, China. The WFST science products have been made possible through the contributions of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO).
