17375 2024-07-09 09:27:24 Panos Charalampopoulos Panos Charalampopoulos None SN Ia 0.1 1 ePESSTO+ We report the classification of AT2024nek as a Ia supernova based on an optical spectrum obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2024-07-08 (i.e., MJD 60500.04). The transient is coincident with the nucleus of the host galaxy. Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests AT2024nek is an around peak SN Ia at a redshift of z~0.099. 2024TNSCR2349....1C
