Claudio Balcon (Belluno A.O. ISSP) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024qyv
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.054
Remarks: GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) suggests that this spectrum resembles that of a type la supernova near maximum. The redshift was inferred from the galaxy’s H-alpha emission line.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-08-13 21:32:00
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other
Remarks: We obtained the low-resolution spectrum R~100 using the FOSC-E5535 spectrograph attached to a 0.41m telescope, in the course of Italian Supernovae Search Project.
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2024qyv
