We report the reclassification of SN 2023esp as a Type II with early flash features. Earlier spectrum showed narrow-line features which resulted in a classification of Type IIn. However, in our latest spectrum these flash features have vanished and shallow H Balmer features have appeared, hence the classification as an ordinary Type II. We expect normal Type II evolution, and encourage follow-up of this object.
