Non-detection of AT 2026pme - likely unreal
On 2026-06-25 (MJD ≈ 61216.2) we collected 9x30s exposures of the field around the reported transient in the g' and i' bands, and 7x30s in r', using a Planewave CDK17 telescope (f/6.8) and Player One Zeus (IMX455) camera. We detect no new source at the reported position of AT 2026pme in any of the coadded images.
We also performed image subtraction using r'-band data taken using the same system on 2026-06-11 as a reference. After PSF convolution and flux scaling, there is no significant excess flux or new point source visible in the difference image.
Additionally, we note that ATLAS forced photometry similarly shows no significant increase in flux at this position since at least 2026-06-09 (ATLAS c-band difference image from 2026-06-18 is attached). We conclude that this report is unlikely to have been a real source.
