1005 2017-05-23 18:22:24 Jose Prieto E. Falco (Harvard CfA), J. L. Prieto (UDP; MAS) ASAS-SN SN Ia 1 ASAS-SN We obtained an optical spectrum of ASASSN-17gl/AT2017eex on UT 2017 May 23.2 with FAST mounted on the FLWO 1.5m telescope. The spectrum is that of a normal SN Ia at maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of SN spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) shows that ASASSN-17gl is best fit with normal SN Ia at an age of +3 days after maximum light (best-fit template is the spectrum of SN Ia 2001ep at +3 days). After correcting for the host galaxy redshift, we measure a Si II 6355 Angs. expansion velocity of 10800 km/s. 2017TNSCR.584....1F
