1640 2018-01-15 20:35:31 Jose Prieto J. L. Prieto (UDP), J. Rich, T. Holoien (Carnegie) ASAS-SN SN Ia 1 ASAS-SN We obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of ASASSN-17rs/AT2017jgm on UT 2018 Jan 13.3 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-17rs is that of a normal Type Ia supernova after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2017) gives a best fit age of +16 days after maximum light. 2018TNSCR..65....1P
