Melina Thévenot, Jean Marc Gantier report/s the discovery of a new astronomical transient.

IAU Designation: AT 2012jb
Coordinates (J2000): RA = 23:20:47.472 (350.1978008) DEC = -28:02:39.46 (-28.044295)
Discovery date: 2012-09-06 10:38:31.000 (JD=2456176.9434144)

Potential host galaxy: WISEA J232046.95-280242.6

Remarks: The possible supernova also shows a long mid-infrared transient, likely an infrared echo. The transient was discovered by a citizen scientist of the "Backyard Worlds: Planet 9" project.
