Weimin Yi, Ju-Jia Zhang (YNAO), Xue-Bing Wu (KIAA-PKU), J. L. Prieto (UDP), B. J. Shappee (Carnegie), Subo Dong (KIAA-PKU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2016adj
Type: SN II
Remarks: The spectrum appears to be heavily reddened, which is consistent with the red photometric color measured in Atel #8654. We detect H-alpha emission line, and its classification is consistent with a Type II supernova. However, due to the relatively low SNR of the spectrum (taken at airmass ~2.9) and heavy reddening, we regard this classification as tentative in nature.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2016-02-08 21:21:36
Instrument: YFOSC
Telescope: Lijiang 2.4m telescope - Yunnan Obsvervatories
