Dave Balam report/s a classification of object: SN 2016ccf
Type: SN IIPRedshift: 0.014
Remarks: ASASSN-16eu = 2016ccf - UT May 01.23. Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows this object to be a core-collapse supernova near maximum light. We find a good fit to the template of (SN IIp) 2006bp at T = -2.days.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2016-05-01 05:31:12
Instrument: Plaskett
