Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.0604
Remarks: 1405.1437. The spectrum shows that AT2016cpw is a normal Type Ia supernova about one week after peak brightness. SNID identifies spectroscopic similarities to SNe 1994ae, 1995D, and 2007kk, and after correcting for the host galaxy's redshift of z = 0.060362 (2MASX J21412438-1404429; NED) the Si II 635.5 nm absorption minimum indicates an expansion velocity of 12,500 km/s.
