Remarks: The spectrum is low signal-to-noise but shows a blue continuum with H-alpha and H-beta emission, possibly including a broad component, at the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.009; HIPASS Catalog via NED). We therefore tentatively classify it as a Type II supernova.
