E. Falco, J. Prieto report/s a classification of object: SN 2017cpu
Type: SN Ia
Remarks: We obtained an optical spectrum of ASASSN-17ej on UT 2017 Apr. 4.4 with FAST mounted on the FLWO 1.5m telescope. The spectrum is that of a normal SN Ia around maximum light. SNID gives as a best-fit template the normal SN Ia 2003ic at -4 days. After correcting the spectrum by the redshift of the host galaxy, we measure a Si II expansion velocity of 11900 km/s.
