Group: Global SN Project
Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Iair Arcavi, Stefano Valenti, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully report/s a classification of object: SN 2017fel
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.031
Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find a good fit to the normal Type Ia SN 1989B 5-7 days before maximum light at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.031; SDSS DR13, via NED).
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2017-07-08 13:18:28
Instrument: FLOYDS-N
Telescope: Faulkes Telescope North
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2017fel
