The transient (mag approximately 15.4) on one 40-s survey image (limiting mag about 19.5) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Aug. 29.85969, 2017 UT using a unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The new object approximately located at R.A.=02h43m48.41s +32d31'33".7 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 26.7" west and 51.2" north of the center of the NGC1067. Nothing is visible at this position on archival image taken on Sep 29.93943, 2016 (limiting mag 19.3). All images can be seen from: http://www.xjltp.com/XOSS/PSP17A/PSP17A.htm. 2017TNSTR.935....1L N

Massimo
Caimmi

AT 2017gjn observation

This transient was detected on 2017 08 31.08752 by Massimo Caimmi from Valdicerro Observatory C92 - Loreto (AN) - Italy using 0.24-m f/6.5 SCT + CCD Atik 314L during the Italian Supernovae Search Project (ISSP). Stack of 15 unfiltered b2x2 frames x 30sec unguided exposures, show the source at 15.5 Mag. End figures for astrometry were AR. 48.42s and DEC. 33.9" position measured from UCAC-4 reference stars catalogue.
