XOSS XOSS 00:42:47.080 +41:16:00.30 2017-09-17 15:43:28.000 17 Clear- 2 PNV M31 PSP17D XOSS Zhijian Xu, Mi Zhang, Yi Ding, Peiyuan Sun, Xing Gao report the discovery of a possible nova in M31. The transient (mag approximately 17.0) on severl 40-s survey images (limiting mag about 19.2) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Sep. 17.65519 UT using a unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The transient approximately located at R.A.=00h42m47.08s +41d16'00".3 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 31.1" east and 8.2" south of the center of the NGC224(M31). Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Sep 15.68946 (limiting mag 18.8). All images can be seen from: http://www.xjltp.com/XOSS/PSP17D/PSP17D.htm. 2017TNSTR1011....1X N
