2086 2018-06-08 07:36:36 Simon Prentice S. Prentice, P. Clark, O. McBrien (QUB) None SN Ic 0.0223 1 SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and Gelato (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) find good matches to Ic-4* SN 2003jd, Ic-6 2004aw, and Ic-5 2007ru before maximum light (see Prentice & Mazzali 2017 for details of the classification scheme). Ambiguity in the classification is due to host emission line contamination, so the degree of blending of the Fe II absorption around 5000 A is unclear, and the wavelength limit of 8000 A. Further observations are encouraged. 2018TNSCR.782....1P
