TNS Classification Report No. 2268 [ 2018TNSCR.980....1K ]
Date Received (UTC): 2018-07-14 20:31:34 Sender: Jose Prieto
Group: ASAS-SN
L. Khlat (ENS-Lyon), J. L. Prieto (UDP), S. Dong (KIAA-PKU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2018cjd
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.026068
Remarks: We obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of supernovae candidates on UT 2018 July 14 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-18mc/AT2018cjd is that of a Type Ia-norm supernova after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) gives a best fit age of +21.5 days after maximum light and z=0.027 as the redshift, consistent with the host galaxy redshift.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2018-07-14 03:30:42
Instrument: WFCCD
Telescope: Las Campanas Observatory du Pont telescope
