L. Khlat (ENS-Lyon), J. L. Prieto (UDP), S. Dong (KIAA-PKU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2018dfh
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.013836
Remarks: We obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of supernovae candidates on UT 2018 July 15 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-18ou/AT2018dfh is that of a Type II after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) gives a best fit age of +8 days after maximum light. The spectrum shows characteristics of normal Type IIP in the plateau phase and Type IIn supernovae (including a narrow P-Cygni profile with v ~ -500 km/s on top of broad FWHM ~ 8000 km/s H-alpha line), with similarities to SN1996L (Benetti et al. 1999, MNRAS, 305, 811).
