Remarks: This transient was first discovered by Ine Theunissen while examining galaxy IC 3143 in the Legacy Survey Sky Viewer here: http://www.legacysurvey.org/viewer?ra=184.7728&dec=27.2964&layer=decals-dr7&zoom=15.
